You know, when we look around the world in which we live, it’s pretty clear that something is just wrong with things as they are. We see it on every level, whether personal with addictions, and broken relationships where individuals experience pain and suffering, depression, loneliness and so many other personal problems too many to mention. We can also see thedifficulties on even the international level as well. Nations waring against nations. All this adds up to the conclusion that something is just wrong. Was it always like this. What is the point and where is the solution?
Well, the answer is no, it was not always like this, and this was never the way that ife was supposed to be. It’s not that difficult to see that there was a Creator behind the universe. Everything did not just suddenly come into being all by itself with order in the stars, order in nature, and even down to the atomic level, we can see the evidence that there was a supreme and power intelligence behind everything that exist. So what happened to mankind and how did things become so screwed up? The answer eoms froma three letter word, which I call an anacronym. It is SIN. Separation Is Negative. The creator, often called GOD, or as I say the Great Overall Divine, created everything to be good, wonderful, beautiful, and able to exist in perfect harmony forever and ever. Originally, there was no sickness, no death, no pain, o hard toil for food and substance, and not even any pain in childbirth. It truly was like living in paradise on earth. The problem did not arise just with mankind. The problem existed in heaven even before mankind was created. One of the heavenly beings who was very powerful, decided to separate himself from God. His name was Lucifer, and he was full of proud. He is called the Deceiver, the Father of Lies, the Thief, and the author of death.
God, the Great Overall Divine, is the master supreme Being who rules and controls everything. He is described as love itself. It is the kind of love that pcares for others even more than it cares for itself. The ancient Greeks called this kind of love Agape. It is a kind of servant love, that prefers to give rather than to take. It truly is wonderful and full of bliss and eternal joy.
Mankind was placed by God in a wonderful garden of paradise. Mankind was instructed to tend this garden and eat of any of its many fruit trees, all except one which was the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. As it turns out, Lucifer, now called Satan was there and he tempted the first humans, known as Adam and Eve, to vilate the law that God had established about what to eat and what not to eat. We all have free will to make choices in life. We are not decisionles robots. If we were not able to choose, we would be simply like robots controlled by someone or something else. We do have free will, and it is vey important how we use it or do not use it. Adam and Eve choose to separate themselves from God by violating the rule he had established. God is life and God is love. To be separtedf rom life and love, is to bejoined to death. Separateion Is Negative. Adam and Eve sinned, and what we experience on th earth now is the result of the freely chosen sin that Adam and Eve shoose and acted upon.
HOWEVER, because God is love, he did not leave the human race alone to =struggle in this God forsaken world in which we live. No, God sent us a Savior, someone who was powerful enough to undo the SIN and restore us to the life that God had intended for us in the beginning. This Savior needed to be a perfect being, so there could be a perfect sacrifice to pay for the debt of SIN that everyone since the beginning of time has been guilty of. That Savior was Jesus of Nazareth who came and showed he had power over all of nature by performing miracles and healing people and even raising people from the dead. But is all of humanity was infected with the original disease of SIN,, how did Jesus come to the earth. God in his own wisdom and power prefared a young woman, actually a teenager who would be conceived free of th curse of sin. That women was Mary of Nazareth. Mary Conceived Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit, and Jesus was born a perfect human being. As a perfu=ect hman being Jesus could nake the perfect sacrifice by willingly laying down his life in [place of all of us. The penalty for sin is death. Jesus paid that penalty for all of humanity, past present and future. Jesus historically demonstrated that he was free of the curse of da=eath by rising from the dead after three days in the tomb. Over 500 peole saw Jesus as eye witnesses after he rose from the dead. Eventually, Jesus returned to heaven with God. But to carry on the work of restoration, Jesus left behind 12 men whom he had trained and anointed to take his message of restoration to all the human race. To help these men, Jesus sent down his own Holy Spirit to live in these men and guide them in their mission. Jesus continues to send his Spirit to everyone who accepts his offer of salvation. Everyone can be “born again” and receive a brand new spiritual life that is able to live free from sin. The group of Jesus’ followers are named after him. They are called Christians. The group that Jesus left behind is called the Catholicx Church. The special anointing that Jesus gave to his original 12 followers and has been passed on to the Bishops of the Catholic Church. Any one can freely choose now to accept the restoration that Jesus freely gives. All any one needs to do is just be willing to exchange their broken cursed current life in exchange for the new spiritual life that Jesus offers to all free of charge. Hearing about this is enough for someone to ask for it. Jesus does not require that we do anything other than to hear about it and desire it. Then we just ask for it and we receive it. The catch is that we have to change our way of living so that we can keep this new life. That takes time, mentorship, and effort on or part. One of the best additional gifts that Jesus has given to all of us is the gift of his Mother. The love of a mother is very special and very meaningful. Mary of Nazareth is now the Queen of all of heaven and earth ane she has royal heavenly authouity and power to help us become molded by her to be a disciple of Jesus, just as Jesus was molded in her womb for nine months before he was born. The Rosay prayer is one of the best ways to engage with Mary and allow her to mold us over time. Also we need to read the Bible, and relate with other Christians and partidipate in the seven sacraments that Jesus gave us in the Catholic Church. Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Confession, Marriage, Hly Orders, and Lst Rights meke up these special actions where we can receive special grace to grow in our spiritual lives. In particular Confession allows us to start over afresh after we mwke misrakes. WE don’t have to carry our mistakes with us forever. Eucharist is where Jesus gives us his very own body, blood , soul and divinity as spiritual food to feed us for our journey through life. All the while, Jesus is in heaven preparing a place for us to live in paradise after our life on earth is finished. It is an honor and a delight to serve Jesus as Lord and Master to help hims spread his kingdom on earth now.
Now, if you are not so sure about what I am telling you, then I have a recommendation for you. The words that I have shared with you have an almost uncanny to create belief in them because they are true. However, here is an exercise to help you. I suggest that you give these wordsw a test try, sort of like a test drive for a vehicle before you buy it. Fair enough? I suggest you decide to consider and treat these words as true for a period of three weeks. Just assume they are true. You can evenb speak with God about these words in private conversation. That is what is called prayer. You can even tell Jesus that you want to know him and that you want to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. After three weeks, then you can decide if you want to continue or not. The choice is completely yours. If you decide not to continue then you have not put anything at risk. If you decide to continue then find a Catholic church and go and ask them when the next OCIA or RCIA class will begin. It is free and you can enroll and there you wil get much more information and more detail. I wish you all the best, and may God bless you.
